Skill Development Programmes under RUSA:

under RUSA project the department has been allocated and amount of rupees 50 lacs to establish litearacy and skill development centres in 10 Districts of Kashmir Province. Under this Project the Centre has already completed 08 such  skill development centres in district Anatnag, Baramullah, Pulwama, Ganderbal, Budgam and Bandipora. the Centre has also proposed few more skill courses under RUSA in the current financial year 2024-25. 

 

2. Legal Literacy Programme for Marginalized Society conducted previously

   The department of LAw and Justice Govt. of India sactioned legal literacy project to this Centre to the tune of 50lacs out of which rupees 11lacs were spend upto 2022. The main objective of the Project was to aware the different field funtionaries in J&K regarding legal provisions under IPC and RPC. the field funtionaries comprising of district and block officers, state cordinators and Panchayat Raj funtionaries were oriented about various important laws and their provisions. Written material in the form of small booklets were also developed, prepared and ditributed among the participants. The important topics covered under these programms were 

1.      Right to Safe and Secure Education (Right to education act 2009).

2.     Geographical indication of goods (Registration and protection act 1999).

3.     Dowry prohibition act 1961. (J&K

4.     Prevention and control of Drug Addiction/De-addiction (J&K prevention of illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances act 1988).

5.     Right to maintenance (Spouse, children & parents).

6.     Prevention and control of encroachment of water bodies (J&K water resources regulation and management act 2010).

7.     Domestic violence means and its regulations. (J&K Protection  of Women from Domestic violence 2011)

8.     J&K legal service Authority Act 1997.

9.     Prevention of food Adulteration act 1954/Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
